About Holly Jacobson, DNP, PMHNP-BC
Holly is a Doctor of Nursing Practice and is Board-Certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. Holly combines expertise with compassionate, personalized care. Utilizing evidence-based practices with medication and non-pharmacologic approaches-including psychotherapy-speeds recovery and patients feel better faster. Holly's treatment process is a two-way collaboration based on empathy and judgment-free care in a tailored mental health wellness plan. She endeavors to make a difference in patients' lives by employing expertise combined with teaching self-care techniques, parenting skills, mindfulness, and above all else imparting hope.
She see patients across the lifespan including adolescents as young as 12 years of age, adults and seniors. Her practice specialities include but are not limits to depression, bipolar disorder, anxiety, ADHD, Autism related behavioral problems, insomnia, PTSD, OCD, and schizophrenia.
Holly is passionate about advancing the importance of self-care and removing the stigma around mental healthcare. In, addition to providing medication management, she uses supportive, cognitive behavioral, and motivational interviewing for psychotherapeutic techniques.
Holly obtained her Bachelor of Science in nursing at Mount Saint Mary’s University in Los Angeles and her Master of Science from Maryville University in St Louis, Missouri and her Doctor of Science from Chatham University in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Her career encompasses over twenty-four years working in emergency medicine, pain management, gastroenterology and psychiatry. In her free time, Holly enjoys kickboxing, strength training, reading, listening to music, and podcasts.
